At the request of our business partner Eichinger & Stelzl we held a training course for professional teachers who specialize in mechanical engineering at the
“Industrial – technical professional school “ in Straubing on the 28.11.2011.

When drilling with High Performance drills is centering required – YES or NO?

In general centering will not be necessary as High Performance drills are manufactured with point geometry to allow for self-centering. Drilling directly into a solid face is normally possible. It is however advised to centre if a tight limited tolerance hole with exact dimensions is required.
